Two Sean Doyle goals and a strike from Dean Pinnington saw FC Isle of Man past Abbey Hey on Saturday night.
Despite the away side taking an early lead, Paul Jones’ side rallied to return to the play-off spots in fifth.
Abbey Hey took and early lead as Jamal Crawford teed up Saul Henderson for an easy finish into an open goal just two minutes into the game.
The Ravens rebounded and drew level just after 20 minutes as Luke Booth, just about, kept in Ste Whitley’s deep cross, volleying it back across goal for Doyle to head home and make it 1-1.
It was soon 2-1 as Dean Pinnington raced clear on a ball from Jacob Crook to fire past Joe Lawton in the 31st minute.
Doyle would get his second after the break as Crook’s cross was met with a brilliant diving header to make it 3-1.
Abbey Hey were reduced to 10 men after Trey Turner’s lunging challenge on Tom Creer and the Ravens should have had a fourth when Ste Whitley unselfishly teed up Dan Hattersley, only to see his effort blocked on the line.
The win, the Ravens fourth in a row, sees them regain their fifth placed spot from AFC Liverpool.
Their next game is on Saturday November 9 away in Blackpool against their familiar bogey team, Squires Gate.
Speaking after last night’s win, Paul Jones and Sean Doyle were both happy with the performance.
