The Sovereign Arts Foundation (SAF) Isle of Man has joined forces with the Isle of Man’s Arts Aid Charity.
The Manx charity, Arts Aid, offers much needed scholarships for study in the arts to Isle of Man residents and former students.
Every year, SAF holds a student art prize and exhibition on the island, and around the word, and has raised long thousands for local charities during each exhibition.
Collaboration of the Arts
Director at Sovereign Trust Ltd, Anna Lowey says that the collaboration is a ‘testament’ in its commitment to fostering creativity and advancing eduction.
She said: “The collaboration between Sovereign and Arts Aid makes me feel exceptionally proud and fulfilled, knowing we’re contributing to our local community by supporting these students in pursuing their artistic passions.”
Chairman of Arts Aid, Mark Denton said: “Our first criterion is exceptional talent ad after that it’s about levelling the playing field in terms of opportunity with awards of varying amounts intended to ease the financial burden and, in some cases, make the difference as to whether a student can take up a course or not.”
