Amphitheatre to Come Alive

Event Management Solutions has said the Douglas Head Amphitheatre could hold performances by the end of September.

It said it is working to organise some test shows to be held later this month at the venue.

The shows will be paid gigs for all performers that are selected, and the company is looking to create a Variety Night style of event, based mainly on local acts.

EMS said: “At the present moment, there won’t be any place for amplified bands, this may come in the future. The plan for the test events is to have the performances transmitted through a closed audio system “Silent Disco” style.

“The client would like to meet with potential performers, so is asking anyone interested to come to a meet up this Wednesday evening at 6pm onwards for around 90 minutes at the Amphitheatre to discuss what can be achieved together.

“We know it’a a little unusual as a request, so coffee and cake will be offered to all as a small thank you for coming up to meet them. And of course, the chance to be one of the first perfomers on the relaunch of a historic venue.”
