We have now entered the period between Christmas and New Year where nobody know what day it is.
I actually have just had to re-write this as I hadn’t realised at all that today was Saturday, I thought it was Thursday – I’m unsure whether to blame the hangover or the festive period.
Pre-warning, my brain is operating on pretty empty so apologies weather fans, you’re not getting a full force blog with Mystic Moz this week.
She will be back soon, but due to far too many bottles of Etna Bianco my brain is saying not today my loves x
It is SATURDAY
Ok so first things first today (December 28) is Saturday – lets all try to remember that and regain some form of normality and not napping all day.
Weather wise it’ll be a generally cloudy day today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at times.
However, it wil become largely dry in the evening with clear intervals then developing.
Light to moderate westerly winds and remaining very mild with highs of 11°C in the afternoon.
More importantly than any of that, it’s our own Sam Turton’s birthday! So if you’re reading this Sam, Happy Birthday!
It’ll be dry tomorrow (December 29 – SUNDAY) with bright or sunny intervals developing at times but feeling quite breezy in strong west or southwest winds.
Best temperature again around 11°C.
New Year Same Weather
It’s all going to turn a bit to crap to welcome in the New Year, no new year new me on the Manx weather front – just the same old sh**e.
It’ll be largely cloudy with a risk of patchy rain or drizzle on Monday (December 30).
The wind will be back in full force starting with a SW 25-35 with gusts 40-50, increasing 35-40 gust 45-60.
There will also be a risk of coastal overtopping.
New Years Eve looks delightfully crap as gales and rain are forecast.
Expect wind speeds of up to 60mph and between 4-10mm of rain.
The Ronaldsway Met Office has warned there is a risk of coastal overtopping and a risk of slight structural damage, where already weakened.
However, it adds that “confidence remains low regarding the development of an area of low pressure, so the forecast may change significantly”.
