GoodStuff Restaurant in Ramsey is to close after what it says has been a “super tough” past few months.
The business was hampered last year by issues beyond its control and says it hasn’t regained its previous levels of custom.
Having opened in Ramsey near five years ago, the restaurant was ranked top on Tripadvisor and was highly regarded by customers.
In a post owner Andy Hardy said: “It’s an incredibly hard time to trade in catering at the minute and in March last year we started work on our new business “Nourish” in Douglas.
“The plan was to have both businesses running alongside each other, but unfortunately after having to shut Good Stuff in October with the building issues that were no fault of our own, we haven’t returned to our normal trading levels and have been paying each month to try to keep the restaurant open.”
Describing the decisions as “heartbreaking’, he said the restaurant will be open everyday until it closes on February 23.
However, Mr Hardy added: “On a positive note the majority of my amazing team will be working for me in Nourish so we can save their jobs, which is good.”
