Mikey Evans says he “still can’t quite believe” securing his first TT podium with a second in the Supertwin race on Tuesday.
The Manxman celebrated his 32nd birthday in style by coming in behind Michael Dunlop.
While he won the Ultra-Lightweight Manx Grand Prix last summer, this was his best result on the TT itself.
Visibly emotional at the end of the race, Miggy celebrated with his friends, family and team as he was serenaded with ‘Happy Birthday’.
He said: “I still can’t quite believe it. The best birthday there’s been!
“Thank you to everyone at Dafabet Racing for believing in me and the work you’ve put in. Shout out to Adam as well. Not only a podium but I joined the 130 club too.
“What a day! I’m still smiling.
“Big thanks to Dave Smyth yoga Isle of mann for getting me sorted between races. Now we wait for a 4 lap Supersport race today with Smith Racing, hope the weather holds out.”
