A Manx nurse has won two awards at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Congress.
Claire Green, Secretary of the RCN Isle of Man Branch, was honoured with two awards, North West Branch Representative of the Year and Campaigns Champion of the Year.
Presenting the awards, Regional Director Simon Browse described Claire as “someone who stood out, who goes above and beyond as an RCN member,” and “the backbone of the Isle of Man Branch.”
He added that she is “unwavering in her determination to support Isle of Man Nurses.”

The event, held in May , saw the largest-ever delegation of Manx nurses in attendance, with nine representatives joining over 3,000 professionals.
Sheila Lloyd, Executive Director for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions, said: “I am so proud of our Nurses attending the prestigious RCN Congress, as they have said it is inspiring, educational and enables Nurses to have important time out of their service to network and share good practice together.
“Doing this is great for Nurses, and the good practice they learn and share is great for patients. I want to thank Claire Green for her dedication to the nursing profession, a congratulate her for the well-deserved awards presented to her at the RCN Congress.”
Manx Care also offered a “huge congratulations to Claire and colleagues for their achievements and attendance at this prestigious event”.
