Chris Pay has called on Tynwald to commission an independent review of the 20mph speed restrictions, warning of widespread disruption and unnecessary costs.
“The impact is going to be significant to traffic,” he said. “It’s going to affect residents, commuters, businesses, couriers, essential workers—everyone that you can think of that uses the roads.”
Mr Pay has also challenged the need for the policy, citing the Chief Constable’s position and said the government is wasting money that could be better spent elsewhere.
