Fire crews responded to a house fire in the area of Head Road in Douglas earlier today.
Two fire engines attended the incident which happened shortly before midday.
On arrival, the officer in charge of the first engine quickly deployed a breathing apparatus team to force entry into the property.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews ventilated the property using positive pressure ventilation fans to clear smoke.
Crews remained in attendance for approximately one hour.
