There was away-day dominance across division one in week eight of the Isle of Man Rifle Association winter league.
Sandsiders 448 fell to 487 Port St. Mary as the defending champions returned after their bye week and got straight back to business.
This was helped by several strong individual scores, including a 99 from Derek Kermode and a 98 from Kevan Kneale.
Winter League
Laxey had a worthwhile road trip, coming away from Sulby with two points and a finishing score of Sulby 475 – 480 Laxey.
Gemma Kermode, Adrian Cowin and Andrew Jessop all posted 97s.
Host captain Mark Cain topped the home scoresheet with a 97 of his own.
Richard Arthur was the standout scorer for Castletown against a diminished Kirk Michael side.
The road victory was never in doubt and the final score was Kirk Michael 187 – 475 Castletown.
