easyJet says a technical fault which cannot be fixed is the reason for a several hour delay to its Gatwick flight.
The flight, EZY840, was due to leave Ronaldsway at 11:35am.
However, a passenger told Manx.News that after boarding, passengers were asked to get back off the plane and return to the terminal.

In an update, the airline told passengers: “We’re sorry that your flight has been delayed.
“This is because the plane that was scheduled for your flight today experienced a technical issue. Because the issue could not be resolved, we’ve decided to arrange a new plane to fly you to your destination today.
“The new plane will be on its way to you shortly and we apologise for this delay.”
The departure board at Ronaldsway says the flight is now due to depart at 5pm, with a half hour delay currently expected on the evening inbound and outbound Gatwick flights.
