A man has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following an assault near Tesco in Ramsey this afternoon.
Police have since arrested two individuals in connection with the incident.
The response involved both uniformed and specially trained firearms officers, with no ongoing threat to the public.
People have also confirmed the authenticity of videos of an arrest on a bus travelling from Ramsey to Douglas that are being widely circulkated.
A police spokesperson said: “We are aware that several videos are being circulated showing part of the arrest on a bus travelling from Ramsey to Douglas.
“We recognise that the footage may cause concern; however, we would like to reassure the community that there is no ongoing risk, as well as take the opportunity to thank passengers for their cooperation in allowing the Officers to safely work.”
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to the assault and to events on the bus, as well as any relevant video footage.
