Isle of Man Creamery has confirmed that its popular Whey Butter has been withdrawn from sale, ending months of absence from shop shelves and doorstep deliveries.
The creamery said the product, long regarded as a small but cherished part of its range, had become increasingly difficult to produce in the consistent, high‑quality batches customers expect.
As a result, the company has made the “difficult decision” to discontinue its 250g Whey Butter blocks.
Butter Still Available
While acknowledging that some customers will be disappointed, the creamery emphasised that its Salted Dairy Block Butter and Spreadable products remain available.
In a move to support the island’s food sector, the whey cream previously used for the butter will now be supplied to a local food producer.
The creamery thanked customers for their loyalty to Whey Butter over the years and said it will continue focusing on core products that best serve the community.
