Dean Harrison claimed a commanding victory in Sunday’s Superbike race and then insisted he could have gone faster.
The Honda rider led from the opening lap and controlled the pace throughout the race, securing his sixth TT win ahead of Peter Hickman and Michael Dunlop.
“I’ve had good pace all week,” Harrison said. “I went out of the box pretty fast. I feel like it can go a bit better. I got a good lead and just sort of controlled it from there.”
The six-time TT winner paid tribute to his team, stating: “Massive thanks to the Honda team. They never missed a beat the whole race. I asked them to build this bike for me and we’ve won the Superbike race.”
After celebrating with a wheelie for the grandstand crowd, Harrison admitted his final lap was “a really long last lap” in which he made “a couple of silly mistakes.”
