The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship is set to return to the island next month, with this year’s event taking place on the TT Course.
Building on the success of last year’s competition, the championship has expanded significantly.
Athletes will race from Guthrie’s Memorial down to Ramsey Hairpin, tackling one of the most technically demanding sections of the TT course.
A festival village in Ramsey, located opposite the Bus Station, will feature a big-screen live feed, local food and drink vendors, a beer tent, a children’s skateboard area and a dedicated media hub.
The 2026 event will see 60 competitors from around the world take on the high-speed course, including two Manx riders, Jack Killey and Juan Callister.
Deborah Heather, CEO of Visit Isle of Man, said: “Events like the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship play an important role in raising the profile of the Isle of Man.
“By supporting unique, high-impact events such as this, we are able to showcase the Island to new audiences and continue building awareness of everything our destination has to offer. We are delighted to welcome riders, teams and spectators, both returning and new to our Extraordinary Isle.”

Broadcasters including Channel 4 will film the event live, between July 3 and 5, with further details to be released in the lead-up to the competition.
