VillaGaiety has acknowledged audience concerns over talking during live performances.
This followed a wave of complaints on social media after this week’s David Gray concert.
Concertgoers took to social media to voice frustration at persistent conversation levels during the show, prompting the venue to issue a statement confirming it is reviewing its approach.
VillaGaiety said: “We’re aware that audience behaviour during live performances, in particular, conversation levels, is something that matters deeply to many of our audiences.
“It matters to us here at VillaGaiety too. We know that live performances are shared experiences, and to enjoy live music with over 1,600 other people should be incredibly special.”
VillaGaiety said it is listening to recent feedback and is now actively exploring more direct operational adjustments, building on existing efforts to influence behaviour in advance and during shows.
