Government has spent £11.47m on payments to Manx Telecom for delivering the National Broadband Plan since 2018.
In a written reply to Glenfaba & Peel MHK Kate Lord‑Brennan, Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston said the bulk of the funding, £9.15m, was paid through quarterly invoices tied to the number of premises passed by fibre.
A further £1.31m was paid in performance bonuses, including acceleration and completion incentives.
The Department also spent £265,776 on undergrounding works across 13 locations, covering 209 premises. No payments were made for street cabinets or exchange equipment.
All invoices were authorised by the Department’s Director of Telecommunications and processed through standard assurance checks, with credit notes issued where billing errors were identified.
