Fifth Pensions Governance Conference Set For November

The island’s only dedicated pensions conference will return this autumn, with Boal & Co confirming the fifth Isle of Man Pensions Governance Conference.

The full‑day event will take place on November 6 at the Comis Hotel, sponsored again by Finance Isle of Man.

It is aimed at trustees, HR professionals, company directors, pension managers and advisers, and has grown into a key fixture for the island’s pensions and retirement benefits sector.

Organisers say this year’s programme will feature speakers from the Isle of Man and further afield, with panel discussions, fireside chats, presentations and interactive breakout sessions.

Pensions Conference

For the first time, an expanded set of sessions will be tailored specifically for HR professionals and employers, alongside the technical and governance‑focused content for trustees and pension specialists.

Topics will include member communications, tracing, legal and actuarial issues, DB and DC schemes, governance, regulatory updates and industry trends, including a briefing from the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority.

Attendees will be able to claim CPD hours, with networking drinks rounding off the day.

Boal & Co Director Mark Doyle said the event has become “a key fixture in the pensions calendar”, while Simon Pickering, Head of Insurance and Pensions at Finance Isle of Man, said the conference offers valuable insight for employers of all sizes.

Further agenda details and speaker announcements will be released in the coming weeks.
