Producers have been informed that Michael Barker has stepped away from his role as general manager at Isle of Man Meats, after 16 months in post.
The senior leadership team will remain in place during the transition, which the company says is expected to be smooth.
The change comes after a turbulent period for the meat plant, which has seen one managing director leave, and three new chairmans in three years.
Miles MacPherson has been appointed on an interim basis.
