The wait is almost over for the hundreds of GCSE students in the island, who will receive their results tomorrow (Thursday).
The Education Department will not be issuing as much information on the results as it has in previous years, citing pre-election guidance, and no political members will comment.
The same applied for the announcement of A-level and other Level 3 results last week, when secondary school pupils achieved a 99 per cent pass rate for A* to E grades.
At University College Isle of Man (UCM), 78 per cent of students passed their Level 3 qualifications, most of which are the equivalent to three A-level passes. In addition, 75 per cent achieved a merit or distinction.
