Michael Commissioners says Sunday’s village fun day will raise money for victims of the Nepal and Tibet floods.
The local authority added the fundraising decision was made before the “tragic events” started but raffle and bake sales will go towards the Pahar Trust.
The board adds that the decision was made by Michael Young Commissioners and its thoughts are with the communities who have been affected by the recent devastating events.
Kirk Michael has been twinned with the village of Ghamrang since 1993 and has since actively raised funds for educational and infrastructure projects.
The fun day is taking place on Sunday, September 6, from midday-4pm at Kirk Michael Football Club.
