The Good Health Store in Port Erin has spoken to Manx.News to clear up speculation after its building was placed on the market last week.
When asked about the sale, owner Amy Savin said: “The building is for sale. The Good Health Store is not.
“We hold the lease on the shop until 2028, we’re trading as normal, and far from winding down.”
Instead, the shop is turning a new corner with online deliveries, a range of ready meals by Mimi’s Kitchen, and expanding the shop’s coffee and cake area.
“We’re building towards next-day delivery across the whole Island, and in the south we’re aiming to get to same-day. If you’ve been driving down to Port Erin for your supplements, soon you won’t have to.”
Speaking about running the shop, Savin said it “has never really felt like just a business.
“Customers have become friends, the team feels like family, and plenty of what happens in here on a given day has nothing to do with the till.”
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and to everyone who has quietly worried on our behalf these last few weeks. Come in and say hello.”
