Jamie McCanney has received a last-minute invitation to join up with the British Individual Six Day Enduro team, ahead of the upcoming 100th edition of the FIM 6Days Enduro of Nations in Portugal.
He’s set to replace Steve Holcombe in the squad, after the 10-time World Enduro Champion was forced to withdraw having suffered a wrist injury that required surgery.
A former world champion himself, the Triumph Factory Racing rider will join fellow Manxman Jed Etchells in what is a strong travelling team.
McCanney is no stranger to the event, having already taken to the start six times in his racing career, including GB’s historic triumph in 2022.
Coming into the event off the back of success with Team Isle of Man at the 2026 Farleigh Castle Vets MX, he’ll hope to once more make his mark on the gruelling 1500km race.
The event gets underway on Monday, October 12.
