Sponsorship Opportunities Offered for Homecoming Games

Island Businesses will be presented with opportunities to support the 2029 Island Games, hosted on the Isle of Man for only the third time in history, at a launch event next month.

A range of packages are set to be announced at the Villa Marina on November 2, with options available from subsidising individual sports, right up to headline sponsorship. The latter will involve shaping the games’ logo and core branding.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Sarah Maltby MHK, Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, said: “Hosting the Island Games is a once-in-a-generation opportunity, and we want the right partners alongside us to make it truly memorable.”

A Global Games

More than 4,000 people from 24 islands are expected travel to the Isle of Man for six days of competition, in what has been dubbed a mini-Olympics.

Athletes from as far afield as Bermuda and the Falkland Islands will be in action, gracing Manx sporting venues for the first time since 2001. The island also hosted the inaugural games in 1985.

The National Sport Centre stands as a legacy of the latter, and the Isle of Man Government has already committed £2.6 million to upgrading facilities, including the athletics track, ahead of the homecoming event.

The 2025 Games, held in Orkney, generated more than 1,800 media reports, reaching an estimated audience of more than 50 million, as well as 600,000 live-streaming events, cementing it’s place as a major sporting spectacle.

The organising committee will be on hand to discuss any questions and provide more information on the day. In the meantime, you can find out more and secure your tickets here.
