Manx Fell Runners took on some of Britain’s top clubs at the British Fell Running Relays in Todmorden, fielding both a men’s and mixed team.

The club secured two places through the event ballot and produced a strong performance against elite opposition from across the UK.

The men’s team finished 36th overall, while the mixed team narrowly missed out on an impressive fourth-place finish after a timing chip issue meant they were classified as non-competitive despite completing the course.

Among the standout performances was an impressive final-leg run from Dan Richmond, who placed 16th on his stage despite having only recently recovered from a 130-mile race. Saul Bradley also produced a strong finish, overtaking several runners in the closing stages.

The event saw runners tackle a series of challenging legs featuring boggy conditions, steep climbs and navigation sections across the Yorkshire fells.

Scottish club Carnethy claimed both the men’s and women’s titles on the day, while MFR hailed a successful outing for the island club on the national stage.

Representing Manx Fell Runners were Oliver Harrison, Rosy Craine, Sam Jones, Matt Van-Hooven Christian, Amber Carridge, Matt Callister, Nick Colburn, Orran Smith, Chris Reynolds, Nikki Arthur, Dan Richmond and Saul Bradley.
