Manx Care Launches Recruitment Drive

Manx Care is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join their dedicated team and help improve the experience of patients, visitors and families across it’s services.

Recruitment is being undertaken across services including the Emergency Department, Radiology, Outpatients, Cataract Clinics and Reception Areas.

A dedicated Volunteer Recruitment Drop-in has been organised at Noble’s Hospital Foyer on November 4 and personnel will be on-hand to meet between 10:00 and 12:00 to answer any queries and provide more information.

Prospective applicants can learn about available roles and find out how volunteering can fit around your lifestyle, discovering the difference that can be made to patients and families experiences.

Tanya Corlett, Volunteer and Student Placement Officer, commented: “Coming to the hospital can be a daunting experience for a lot of people, so having a friendly face to assist really does make a difference to our Island’s community.

“Being a volunteer can provide you with the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills, alongside offering a sense of belonging and direction.

She concluded: “Whether you can offer a few hours each week or more regular support, we would love to hear from you.”

To find out more about roles and to apply online, you can visit the dedicated Volunteer with Manx Care webpage. All applicants are subject to DBS check, and must be aged 18 or over.
