The Manx National Farmers’ Union says it is reviewing an offer from the government following crunch talks last week.
A crisis meeting between the MNFU and Chief Minister Chris Thomas and Agriculture Minister Rachel Glover took place after farmers held a vote of no confidence in the leadership of DEFA.

“We are now reviewing the offer from the DEFA Minister with the MNFU Board and with members through our Branch meetings which continue into next week.”
They added: “We aim to have a formal response to the Minister and Chief Minister by November 13 and would like to thank them both for engaging with the industry.
“We are pleased that the Minister for DEFA will be joining us out on farm meeting some of our members over the next few weeks.”
Yesterday Glover issued a statement saying she welcomed the invitation to visit farms and meet members of the sector,
