Naseem’s Manx Brain Tumour Charity awarded £9000

The Manx Lottery Trust (MLT) has awarded a grant of £9,000 to Naseem’s Manx Brain Tumour Charity.

This funding will support a crucial project that focuses on providing therapeutic support to individuals and families affected by brain tumours.

The project, a collaboration between Naseem’s Manx Brain Tumour Charity and Isle Listen, aims to alleviate the emotional overwhelm experienced by brain tumour sufferers and their caregivers.

Therapeutic support

By offering therapeutic support, the project seeks to equip individuals with the necessary tools to deal with the unique challenges that accompany a brain tumour diagnosis.

Geraldine Pishvaie, from Naseem’s Manx Brain Tumour Charity, said:

“It becomes difficult for individuals to focus on activities and tasks that can benefit their well-being.

“This support is designed to empower individuals by providing them with essential skills to navigate the difficulties they encounter during this challenging period.”

Stephen Turner, Chairman for Manx Lottery Trust, said that the charity has already made a “significant impact on the lives of the people it supports”.

He added: “We are delighted to extend our support to this collaboration with Isle Listen, and we hope that many individuals will benefit from this project.”

The grant awarded to the charity is made possible through the Manx Lottery Trusts Dormant Asset Programme.

Under this programme, charities and not-for-profit organisations have the opportunity to apply for funding up to £50,000.
