A reminder has been issued to all that the Colas Billown Course is designated as a ‘No Drone Zone’ for the duration of the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races.
The ‘No Drone Zone’ is issued by the Isle of Man Civil Aviation Administration and takes place from May 24-26.
The airspace above the Southern 100 Course can get busy with activity of aircraft taking off and, landing both during, before and after the racing or practising take place.

The Colas Billown Course is also located very close to the Isle of Man Airport.
Drones can also pose a serious distraction and threat to riders; Race marshals will immediately report any drones to race control.
An unauthorised operation of a drone may result in a race or practice being stopped.
Those convicted of breaching the regulations face a fine of up to £10,000.
Southern 100
A similar restriction will be in place during the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races on July 8, 9, 10 and 11 2024.

Competitors are advised that they should take particular notice of the regulations regarding clothing, helmets, boots, gloves which have been brought in line with the ACU Mountain Course requirements.
