A seven-minute documentary following Yasmin Ingham’s journey to the very top of her sport has been released by equestrian clothe brand, Le Mieux.
It tells a story about dreaming big, working hard, competing against your heroes, and winning against the odds.
The documentary pays tribute to the late Sue Davies who played a fundamental part in Ingham’s success.
Sue Davies, owner of champion horse Banzai du Loir, and her daughter Janette Chinn, took the then 16-year-old Yasmin onto their Cheshire yard to ride their string of competition horses.
In the documentary Janette said: “I knew it was very difficult for Yasmin to leave her family unit – in essence, I became foster mum. But that’s one of the things I love about her – she wants things to happen, and she’s made things happen.
Yasmin Ingham’s success
At only 26 years old Yasmin has four FEI gold medals to her name and numerous National Championship titles, but the one that trumps them all is, of course, the World Championship title she won in 2022.
Nine years earlier, the then 16 year old had first glimpse of stardom when she won double gold at the Pony European Championships on Craig Mor Tom.
