Direct flights to Lanzarote this winter

Day 256,735 of winter is upon us, but here is some good news if you fancy escaping the rubbish weather next time around.

From November, you’ll be not only be able hop on a direct flight and escape the rock for some winter sun in Tenerife, but also Lanzarote.

There will be three direct departures from Ronaldsway to the smaller Canary Island of Lanzarote.

Flights to winter sun

Flights will operate on a Friday with departures to Arrecife airport departing on November 29, December 6 and 13.

It will then switch to Tenerife from December 20 for Christmas and New Year, and then weekly throughout January with the final departure on January 31, returning February 7.

Gary Cobb, Isle of Man Airport Director, said: ‘’We’re excited to welcome back Flydirect with more Winter sun flights, now including direct routes from the Isle of Man Airport to Lanzarote alongside Tenerife.

“It’s a convenient solution for locals to unwind and recharge on these beautiful islands, and we wish Flydirect every success on these routes.”

Flight details

The flight programme will be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline, Smartwings using their modern 737-800 aircraft. Flying time is around 4 hours 30 minutes.

Flights go on sale early this week and customers will be able to book online through www.flydirect.co.uk or over the phone.
