Fire precautions

As the weather is starting to improve, the fire service are asking those who are going to use barbeque’s to please follow these simple precautions:

  • Never leave a barbeque unattended
  • Keep children, garden games and pets well away from the cooking area.
  • Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies.
  • Ensure the barbeque is cool before attempting to remove it.

Please be aware that disposable barbeques bring additional risks and a number of retailers have already stopped selling these barbeques.
