More Manannan sailings delayed

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company have delayed today’s (June 28) afternoon sailings to and from the new Liverpool terminal.

The sailings that have been delayed due to ‘operational reasons’ are:

  • Douglas – Liverpool scheduled for 3pm will now depart the Isle of Man at 4pm.
  • Liverpool – Douglas scheduled for 7:15pm, will now depart Liverpool at 8pm.

Tidal conditions

Yesterday (June 27) sailings to the £70million terminal were delayed due to the tidal conditions.

A spokesperson for the Steam Packet Company commented on the tidal conditions which have led to delays: “As with all ports, we monitor the tides in relation to the available depth of water to ensure safety of the vessel, passengers, crew and other port infrastructure.

“As the regular dredging works continue we expect the situation will improve and rescheduling will be very infrequent, if at all.”
