Ramsey’s commissioners are looking for an artist to add to the town’s wall murals.
The mural will be prominently displayed on the west facing wall of the old Swimming Pool in the Market Place area near the South Promenade.
The local authority said its plans for the mural have been inspired by the iconic artwork “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Katsushika Hokusai.

With a hope to celebrate and incorporate local landmarks such as the Queen’s Pier, the Albert Tower, and Sky Hill, the authority said the project will add “a unique blend of international artistic inspiration and local heritage”.
It added that it will “enhance the visual landscape of Ramsey and celebrate its unique history and beauty”.
A range of murals across the town have been added in recent years, including to shelters in Mooragh Park and on Mooragh Promenade.
Interest artists should submit a letter of interest outlining their vision for the mural and how they plan to incorporate the local landmarks.
