Today’s rainfall has continued to disrupt the DoI’s surface dressing plans.
Surface dressing is dependent on the road surface being dry.
The updated plan for tomorrow (Thursday) is for contractors to surface dress the following roads:
Dalby to Roundtable Road, Patrick 7am to midday
Poortown Road, German Midday to 5pm
South Quay, Douglas 6pm to 7pm
The DoI said: “Please note that although these roads will be closed to through traffic during dressing operations, arrangements have been made to facilitate the passage of school buses.
“The Main Contractor for this work, Kiely Bros. Ltd will also facilitate access and egress for householders located within the closures, but there may be some delays experienced while the team works past individual entrances.”
