Port Erin Coastguard has helped paramedics rescue a casualty with leg injuries near to the Sloc.
Two members of the Fire & Rescue service were also on hand to assist with the extraction, along with a patrol from Castletown Coastguard who supported with communications.
The person was placed in a stretcher and hauled to safety using line rescue equipment.
A Coastguard spokesperson said: “As a bizarre coincidence, the casualty didn’t mind us sharing that she was the next generation of another casualty we had in the same spot in July 2010, both were visitors to the island on a pilgrimage to a very remote location where a relations ashes were scattered.”
That prior rescue had involved a helicopter, which fortunately wasn’t needed this time.
