The island’s new Bishop, Patricia Hillas, will have her ordination and consecration later this week.
Her appointment as Bishop of Sodor and Man will take place on Thursday October 10 at 11am in York Minster.
The public service is open to anyone is welcome to attend, however it will also be live streamed on York Minster’s YouTube channel.
Bish Trish replaces Peter Eagles who retired earlier this year.
She joins at a time where Tynwald is again considering the future role of the island’s Bishop, a role which can trace its roots back to Saint Germanus of Man in the fifth century AD.
