It is the stuff of many a young boy’s dreams and Ben Cunningham has grown up to achieve it.
Ben, a volunteer with Groudle Glen Railway, passed his final assessment to be a steam locomotive driver over the weekend.
The “line that goes uphill to the sea” is running through October on Sundays at 11am to 4:30pm.
It is also hosting its Hop-tu-Naa trains at the end of the month.
