Governor Toasts Fire Fighters

Sir John and Lady Lorimer invited members of the island’s Fire & Rescue Service to Government House for the’ annual awards presentation.

The awards celebrated both long service and recognised outstanding staff achievements from the past year.

The Fire and Rescue Service said: “We also took the opportunity to thank family and friends who support our firefighters in their work.

“Chief Fire Officer Mark Christian congratulated the award recipients and remarked that the diverse range of nominations showcased the outstanding work carried out across the Fire & Rescue Service every day.”
