Tesco will celebrate opening its new Peel store with a £1,000 donation to Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch
The Peel store is the eighth of nine new stores set to open on the island following Tesco’s acquisition of Shoprite.
Peel’s new Tesco, on Derby Road, will open at 8am Thursday October 31.
Its opening hours will be 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Sunday.
The supermarket giant already operates a Tesco Express on Peel’s Michael Street.
Over the last seven years, the supermarket’s customers on the Isle of Man have helped to nominate worthy recipients of grants totalling £217,504 for 109 groups and good causes through its blue token voting scheme, Stronger Starts.
Store Manager Anthony Teare said: “We’re really pleased to be opening our new Peel Superstore.
“We want to play a key role supporting the local community and we’re encouraging groups and charities to sign up for our Stronger Starts and food donation programmes.”
