The schedule for Manxman’s Liverpool sailings is to be changed after issues arose during berthing trials.

The flagship is due to begin sailing to Merseyside on November 9.
The Steam Packet said that “unforeseen restrictions encountered with the berthing structure at the new Liverpool terminal”, has impacted its docking process.
During the recent berthing trials with Manxman and Ben My Chree, the company said it identified challenges to safely moor vessels at various tidal heights, particularly at the forward end of these vessels.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently working with the Department of Infrastructure to find solutions to mitigate the impact of these challenges.
“As a result, it is necessary to modify the timings of the Liverpool schedule from early November until the end of December 2024 to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our operations in Liverpool.
“All passengers impacted by these changes are in the process of being contacted with the revised sailing times and alternative travel arrangements or refund made available.
“We apologise for any inconvenience these restrictions have caused and are committed to minimising the disruption for our passengers. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our passengers whilst we work to address these restrictions.”
