The Department of Infrastructure is closing the Baldhoon Road in Lonan for two days following damage sustained in Storm Bert.
Baldhoon Road will close to through traffic from 9am until 4pm today (November 26) and tomorrow (November 27).
During Storm Bert, a short section of the carriageway washed out in the vicinity of a property known as “Ganders” next to the top entrance to the Axnfell footpath.
The short section of the road which has been damaged will be excavated, reconstructed and resurfaced.
During working hours, those requiring access to properties above the works should join the road from the top of Ballacollister Road.
Access to those properties below the work site will be from Laxey village.
