The Department of Infrastructure is to resurface parts of the Castletown Road in the New Year.
The Castletown Road from the junction with Shore Road, past the Southern Civic Amenity Site to a point just short of the grounds to Rushen Primary School will be resurfaced.
Work will start on Monday, January 6, and is expected to be completed on or before Friday, February 14.
Castletown Road will be subject to a temporary closure order whilst works are underway.
Resurfacing Works
There will be signed diversion route to and from Port St Mary and Port Erin via Beach Road/Station Road/Four Roads.
There will be some parking restrictions at the bottom of Beach Road for the duration of works to facilitate increased traffic flows.
Access to the Southern Civic Amenity Site & Port St May allotments will be available, firstly from Four Roads, and later from Shore Road.
The amenity site will be shut to the public for a period of up to two days during these works while our team is surfacing directly outside the entrance to the site.
