Those interested in putting themselves forward for this year’s Legislative Council election only have a few days to do so.
The deadline for applications is on Thursday (January 9) at 12 noon.
Four seats will be available from February 28 with the successful candidates serving until February 2030.
Members of LegCo are entitled to a basic annual salary of £71,659 and are eligible to join a section of the Government Unified Pension Scheme.

All applicants who have submitted a valid application will be invited to attend an Applicants’ Conference on January 24.
In order for an application to proceed to the next stage, an MHK must propose the applicant by submitting a proposal to the Secretary of the House of Keys before February 13.
The proposal must be seconded by a Member of the House of Keys and also be supported by at least two other MHKs.
