Isle of Man Samaritans will be dispelling the Blue Monday myth by hosting a Brew Monday.
The post-Christmas weeks can be very difficult for a lot of people, particularly while many are contending the dark nights and the cold winter weather.
The cost-of-living pressures continue to mount, and many people find January a month more difficult than normal.
That is why, Isle of Man Samaritans are keen to reinforce that there’s no such thing as the saddest day of the year, aka Blue Monday.
Brew Monday
Brew Monday is a day turned into something more positive, in the hope it encourages friends and family to stay connected by having a cuppa and a catch-up.
To celebrate the day on January 20, Isle of Man Samaritans have partnered with Tesco to help raise awareness of Brew Monday.
A team from Isle of Man Samaritans will be based across two of Tesco’s biggest stores on the island (Lake Road and Victoria Road in Douglas).
The team will be available throughout the day to have a chat with people and answer any questions they may have about the work the charity does.
