Health Minister Claire Christian is to be quizzed on cancer screenings in next week’s Keys sitting.
This year’s Mandate to Manx Care includes a plan to reduce the frequency of cancer screenings, including for breast cancer, down from every two years to every three.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge, who has said she will oppose any reductions, will ask Ms Christian who in her Department is responsible for delivering screening programmes for cancers of the a) breast, b) cervix and c) bowel; and whether any discussions have taken place about changes to these.
Due to the timeframe in which questions need to be submitted, this question was likely entered before the mandate was issued.
The Keys sit on Tuesday at 10am.
