The DoI deployed 21 additional salt bins across the Isle of Man over the last winter.
Minister Dr Michelle Haywood provided the figure in a written answer after a question from Arbory, Castletown, and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Dr Haywood said: “Since January 1 2025, a total of 9 additional salt bins have been added; a further 12 salt bins were put out during the winter of 2024/2025.”
The minister also outlined maintenance procedures, saying: “All salt bins undergo a yearly condition survey and are refilled, with ad-hoc inspections carried out before and after weather events or when the Department receives reports that a salt bin is empty.”
