Significant improvements have been made to the footpath (PROW) 503 near Ballure Reservoir.
The PROW team has upgraded sections of the path, which runs up from Ballure Reservoir to the Gooseneck, across land owned by Manx Utilities.
Deteriorating boardwalks have been removed, and a defunct pedestrian gate near the roadside has been taken out to create a more natural and accessible route.
Where a small wooden bridge once crossed a shallow ditch, the structure has been replaced with infill material.
A spokesperson said: “The bridge has been removed and the area has been infilled with five-inch stone filter material to allow continued water flow, then finished with topsoil.”
Roadside temporary metal barriers, which were leaning into the path and forcing pedestrians into the hedgerow, have also been taken away.
Further along the route, a persistently waterlogged section has been addressed.
Due to lingering dampness, a temporary boardwalk has been installed, though it is expected to be removed before TT.
