Learning Disability Sessions For Adults

Manx Care has announced a series of Learning Disability sessions for adults which will be held later this month.

Learning Disability Week, which runs from June 16 – 20, aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities.

It hopes to raise awareness about important issues, fighting stigma and discrimination, and sharing information about what support is available.

Ealish MacDonald, Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, and Kennedy Thompson, Learning Disability Liaison Nurse, jointly commented:

“We’re incredibly excited for Learning Disability Week next week! It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths and achievements of people with learning disabilities.

“We look forward to amplifying their voices, promoting inclusion, and raising awareness about the importance of accessible communication and compassionate care.

“Together, we want to ensure that every individual is heard, respected, and celebrated.”
