The Western Swimming Pool is to close for two weeks during the summer holidays.
Yeah, we know…
Work will begin on Monday July 21 and we will remain closed for two weeks, reopening on Monday August 4.
Upon reopening, work will continue for the following four weeks with all facilities open by Monday September 1.
A post by the Western Swimming Pool Management team said: “We are writing to inform you of an upcoming maintenance closure, for some much-needed investment to improve our facility.
“The WSP are excited to announce that we will be completing a major scheme of work to completely replace the girls, boys and disabled toilets in the changing village and we will be making some necessary improvements to the entrance to our changing village to ensure it is more user-friendly and up to date with current accessibility standards.
“Alongside this we will be installing new LED lights in the pool hall.”
